Therapeutic Relaxing Massage

Therapeutic massage can be done with many goals in mind. Whether you need to relax after a stressful day or you have chronic tension in your body needing maintenance, you will be taken care of at Refine Therapeutic Massage. Firm gliding strokes, kneading and compression of the soft tissues can create space for the body and mind to relax. The techniques I have used may be considered “deep-tissue” but it should be known that it doesn’t necessarily mean it needs to be deep pressure to be effective (unless that is what your body responds best to!).

The goal of releasing the restrictions that are contributing to pain and decreased range-of-motion can be reached with a range of light to deep pressure. The key is to listen to what is tolerable for YOUR body and to make sure to communicate with your therapist throughout the session.

1Cancelation Policy
We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. Business meetings, car problems, snowstorms, and illness are just a few reasons why one might consider canceling an appointment. In my desire to be effective and fair to all clients and out of consideration for the therapists’ time, I have adopted the following policies: 12 hour advance notice is required when canceling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to give a 12 hours advance notice you will be charged 50% of your appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment.
2No Shows
Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show”. They will be charged 50% for their “missed” appointment and future service will require pre-payment.
3Arriving Late
Appointment times have been arranged specifically for you. If you arrive late your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the “full” session.Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time.
