Hot Stones

The heat of hot stones during a massage allows for your tissue to open up and be accessed on a much deeper level without too much pressure needing to be applied. This helps both the therapist and client achieve more results. Increased circulation and energy flow are assisted by the heat, in turn, the lymphatic system signals a release of toxins. A client should feel a comforting lightness from this wonderful treatment. Some people choose hot stones just for the relaxation purpose where they let the heat take them to a soothing place of bliss which is wonderful as well.

This is a therapy at Refined Therapeutic Massage that can be integrated when appropriate. Discuss with your therapist if using hot stones will be beneficial for your treatment. Note that there are some health conditions that do not indicate heat to be used as part of therapy.

1Cancelation Policy
We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. Business meetings, car problems, snowstorms, and illness are just a few reasons why one might consider canceling an appointment. In my desire to be effective and fair to all clients and out of consideration for the therapists’ time, I have adopted the following policies: 12 hour advance notice is required when canceling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to give a 12 hours advance notice you will be charged 50% of your appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment.
2No Shows
Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show”. They will be charged 50% for their “missed” appointment and future service will require pre-payment.
3Arriving Late
Appointment times have been arranged specifically for you. If you arrive late your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the “full” session.Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time.
